This Privacy Policy explains what Dramarium collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Dramarium is a private tasting journal. We use your information to run that journal for you — not to sell it.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to people who sign in to Dramarium and to visitors of the sign-in and legal pages. If you are invited into a workspace hosted by someone else, that host may also see account details needed to operate the journal.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — email address, display name, and a sign-in identifier. If you continue with Google, we receive the name and email address Google shares with us for that account.
- Journal content — tasting notes, scores, whisky details, photographs, audio recordings, and any other material you add.
- Technical data — basic device and usage information needed to keep the service working, such as browser type, approximate location from IP address, and error logs.
3. How we use it
We use this information to:
- create and secure your account;
- store and display your journal;
- generate flavour descriptions and related features you ask for;
- fix problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product;
- communicate about your account or important service changes.
We do not sell your personal information or your tasting notes.
4. Sign-in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google authenticates you and sends us a name and email so we can open your session. We do not receive your Google password. You can disconnect Google access from your Google account settings at any time; you may then need another way to sign in, if one is available.
5. Where it is stored
Account and journal data are stored with our hosting and database providers (currently including Vercel and Supabase). Those providers process data on our instructions and in the regions they operate. Photographs and audio you upload are stored so they can be shown back to you in the journal.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and journal data while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep a copy for security, dispute, or legal reasons.
7. Sharing
We share information only:
- with infrastructure providers that host the service;
- if required by law or to protect the service and its members;
- with your direction — for example if you export or share a tasting yourself.
8. Cookies and local storage
Dramarium uses cookies or local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. These are needed for the journal to work. You can clear them in your browser; you will then need to sign in again.
9. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact the Dramarium host for your workspace to make a request. You can also stop using the service and ask for your account to be closed.
10. Children
Dramarium is not intended for anyone under 18, or under the legal drinking age where that is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. The date at the top of this page is the latest revision.
12. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to the person who invited you, or to the Dramarium host for your workspace.
